General Ordering Information
Prices are subject to change without notice. We do not ship sample copies.
Individuals: Prepayment required on new accounts in US funds, checks drawn on a US bank or charge to VISA, MasterCard, or American Express.
Institutional buyers: Please include purchase order. California Corp. #161041, ARI Federal ID #94-1156476. Note: Telephone customers using university or corporate purchase orders must fax or mail a hard copy before shipment. FAX: 650-424-0910 or 650-855-9815 - 24 hours a day.
Students / Recent Graduates: Receive a 30% discount off the retail price. Requirements:
1. must be a degree candidate at, or a recent graduate within the past three years from, an accredited institution;
2. Must present proof of status (photocopy of your student I.D. or proof of graduation date);
3. Must order directly from Annual Reviews;
4. Prepay. The student/recent graduate discount does not apply to Institutional buyers, standing orders, online publications, or order handling fees.
Note: Students or recent graduates ordering by telephone must supply (by fax or mail) proof of status.
Professional Society Members: Many societies offer Annual Reviews to members at reduced rates. Contact Annual Reviews or your society membership office for details.
California and Indiana orders add applicable sales tax.
Canadian orders, please remit applicable provincial sales tax. Registration #121449029 RT.
Booksellers and Subscription Agents: The new Annual Reviews year standard discount policy and ordering information for booksellers and agents is stated in the Annual Reviews Bookseller Discount Policy for and is effective.January 1, 2006.
Return Policy
No returns are accepted without prior authorization from Annual Reviews. We do not sell on a consignment basis. There must be a written request for any return indicating the titles, volume numbers, quantities, the related invoice and/or purchase order numbers, and the reasons for returning the goods. Authorization to return is only given in certain circumstances and when the request has been made within (60 days) from the original invoice date.
Upon receipt of an authorized return, we will grant full credit only if the materials are received in perfect resaleable condition; otherwise, partial or no credit would be given for soiled or damaged returns. The handling fee and your special shipping option will not be refunded.

All materials returned by a vendor are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Duties and Taxes
International customers may be subject to import duties and taxes once the shipment reaches their country. All duties and taxes are the responsibility of the recipient. Annual Reviews has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Contact your local customs office for additional information.
Shipping Options
Postage is paid by Annual Reviews (Special 4th class / surface mail). UPS ground service (within the 48 contiguous states only) available at $5 per book. UPS next day air service, second day air, 3 Day to any location is available at actual cost. UPS requires a street address; P. O. Box, APO, FPO, are not acceptable. UPS will not deliver without a name and phone number for contact purposes.
NOTE: Orders can take up to 4-6 days to process, and then are shipped via your preferred method. Please factor in this processing time when placing your order.
Handling Fees
There is an additional $4.00 per volume handling fee applied to all orders, maximum $12.00 handling fee for each ship-to location. Handling fees are not subject to any discounts, and are taxable in the state of California.
Standing Orders
Save 10% when you set up a standing order and enclose payment with your order. The new volume in a series is sent automatically each year upon publication. Continue to save 10% each year by payment of prerelease invoices sent 5 months prior to the publication date. You may cancel at any time.
Standing order discounts cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotional incentives.
Prepublication Orders
Orders for volumes not yet published will be charged to your account upon receipt. We will not ship volumes before the month of publication indicated.
