Climate Change and Human Behavior

The causes and effects of climate change—and solutions to it—are fundamentally linked to issues of politics and governance. Governments play a crucial role in determining how much human activity leads to changes in the global and local environment. Governments also face challenges as climate impacts the decisions of individuals, communities, companies, and other groups as they adapt to a warming planet.

Annual Reviews has curated a new interdisciplinary article collection that explores these connections. The articles span domestic and international politics, questions of justice, the energy backbone of modern society, how climate change is changing political issues like conflict and immigration, and the intersection of politics and policy design. Our experts discuss several key topics:

  • Ethics and Justice
  • International Cooperation and Institutions
  • Political Economy of Energy
  • Impacts of Climate Change
  • Politics of Policy Design and Reform
