Abstract

▪ Abstract

Cooled beams in storage rings, circulating through internal targets, offer new experimental possibilities. This review summarizes the technical innovations that were required to exploit this novel environment, as well as advances in nuclear physics that are a result of it. Ongoing research and future trends are discussed as well.
